Hard drive failures can range from easy to impossible.

Unlike many other data recovery companies we charge you what it actually costs to fix your drive.

We charge at an hourly labor rate with a maximum rate cap.

Non clicking drives (drives with good heads) will never exceed a labor rate of $200.

Clicking drives will never exceed a labor rate of $500.

If we get no data, our labor rate is zero.

Additional charges may apply for parts, postage, tax and return media.

Note: No hard drive manufacture sell parts for their drives.

The only place parts can be obtained is from a matching drive.

A 20GB drive will run about $10. A 500GB drive will run about $100.

If we have a matching drive in stock, prices would be less.

We will always obtain your approval before buying any part.

Software failure labor rate will normally be between $50 and $175.
(i.e. Virus, reformat, software failure, new operating system install, lost or deleted files)

Typical labor charge for electrical hardware and firmware failure is between $100 and $200.
(i.e. drive burnt out, no bios, low head signal or many bad sectors)

Mechanical hardware (Clean Room) labor rate will be between under $500.
(i.e. head crash, clicking drives or seized bearings)

Western Digital and Maxtor drives are more difficult to align the heads on so they will cost more than other makes and models.

Laptop drives tend to be easier then Desktop drives so the clean room prices would be less.

Drives with more heads tend to cost more than drives with less heads.

If you provide us a blank drive to copy the recovered files to, there will be no backup media charge. Otherwise backup media will cost $5 per DVD at 4.7GB per DVD. You can also talk to our Engineers about purchasing a new drive.

Postage by UPS ground normally runs under $15.00 for two pounds.

All failures are different so we can't give you a fixed price without seeing your drive.
